The verse contrasts personal vulnerability with the moral and social force of a boon: even if one is outwardly powerless, destiny shaped by righteous authority (here, the father’s granted boon) can confer protection, strength, and honor. It also highlights how reputation and legitimacy can extend across cosmic opposites (gods and demons).
A maiden speaks to a heroic figure addressed as “mighty-armed,” explaining that although she herself is weak, her father has granted a boon ensuring that her destined husband will be exceptionally strong and universally revered—even by both devas and asuras.
