रथघोष॑ तु त॑ श्रुत्वा स्तनयित्नोरिवाम्बरे | मन्वाना देवराजं मामाविग्ना दानवाभवन्,आकाशमें होनेवाली मेघ-गर्जनाके समान उस रथका शब्द सुनकर दानवलोग मुझे देवराज इन्द्र समझकर भयसे अत्यन्त व्याकुल हो उठे
rathaghoṣaṃ tu taṃ śrutvā stanayitnor ivāmbare | manvānā devarājaṃ mām āvignā dānavābhavan ||
Als sie das Dröhnen des Streitwagens vernahmen—wie Donner aus Sturmwolken am Himmel—hielten die Dānavas mich für Indra, den König der Götter; da packte sie die Furcht, und sie gerieten in heftige Unruhe.
