अयं च शंखप्रवरो येन जेतासि दानवान् | अनेन विजिता लोका: शक्रेणापि महात्मना,“यह श्रेष्ठ शंख है, जिसे बजानेसे तुम्हें दानवोंपर विजय प्राप्त हो सकती है। महामना इन्द्रने भी इसके द्वारा सम्पूर्ण लोकोंपर विजय पायी है'
ayaṃ ca śaṅkhapravaro yena jetāsi dānavān | anena vijitā lokāḥ śakreṇāpi mahātmanā |
Arjuna sprach: „Und dies ist das vorzüglichste Muschelhorn; wenn du es ertönen lässt, wirst du die Dānavas besiegen können. Durch eben dieses Horn, so heißt es, gewann selbst der großherzige Śakra (Indra) die Herrschaft über die Welten.“
