Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharmic reciprocity: sincere reverence and proper honoring of worthy beings is met with upliftment—here expressed as the growth of valor, fame, splendor, and strength. Ethical conduct (pūjā/respect) becomes a conduit for inner and outer empowerment.

Arjuna narrates that he paid due honor to the divine beings—specifically the Ādityas and the Aśvin twins—and that they responded by bestowing or affirming in him heroic qualities: valor, reputation, radiance, and physical/strategic strength.
