The Slaying of Bharadvāja’s Son and the Sage’s Lament
प्रकाल्यमानस्तेनायं शूलहस्तेन रक्षसा । अग्न्यागारं प्रति द्वारि मया दोर्भ्या निवारित:,राक्षस अपने हाथमें शूल लेकर इसका पीछा कर रहा था और यह अग्निशालामें घुसा जा रहा था। उस समय मैंने दोनों हाथोंसे पकड़कर इसे द्वारपर ही रोक लिया
prakālyamānas tenāyaṁ śūlahastena rakṣasā | agnyāgāraṁ prati dvāri mayā dorbhyāṁ nivāritaḥ ||
„Als ein Rākṣasa, mit einem Speer (śūla) in der Hand, ihn erbittert verfolgte, stürzte er zum Feuerschrein (agnyāgāra). Doch direkt an der Tür packte ich ihn mit beiden Armen und hielt ihn dort zurück.“
