लोमश उवाच शृणुष्वावहितो राजनू् राज्ञस्तस्य महात्मन: । यथा मान्धातृशब्दो वै लोकेषु परिगीयते,लोमशजीने कहा--राजन्! लोकमें उन महामना नरेशका “*मान्धाता” नाम कैसे प्रचलित हुआ? यह बतलाता हूँ, ध्यान देकर सुनो
Lomaśa uvāca: śṛṇuṣvāvahito rājan rājñas tasya mahātmanaḥ | yathā Māndhātṛ-śabdo vai lokeṣu parigīyate ||
Lomaśa sprach: „Höre aufmerksam zu, o König, während ich von jenem großgesinnten Monarchen berichte—wie es kommt, dass der Name ‚Māndhātṛ‘ in allen Welten gerühmt und besungen wird.“
