न त्वद्य शक््यमस्माभिरेतत् कर्तुमतो$न्यथा । नूनं दैवकृतं होतद् यदेव॑ कृतवानसि,“अब हमलोग इसके प्रभावको टालने या बदलनेमें असमर्थ हैं। तुमने जो ऐसा कार्य कर डाला है, इसमें निश्चय ही दैवकी प्रेरणा है
na tv adya śakyam asmābhir etat kartum ato 'nyathā | nūnaṃ daivakṛtaṃ hy etad yad eva kṛtavān asi ||
Lomaśa sprach: „Heute sind wir nicht imstande, diese Wirkung abzuwenden oder sie anders werden zu lassen. Gewiss ist dies durch das Geschick (daiva) herbeigeführt, da du eine solche Tat tatsächlich vollbracht hast.“
