The Birth and Career Account of Māndhātṛ

स पीत्वा शीतल तोयं पिपासार्तों महीपति: । निर्वाणमगमद्‌ धीमान्‌ सुसुखी चाभवत्‌ तदा,राजा युवनाश्व प्याससे बड़ा कष्ट पा रहे थे। वह शीतल जल पीकर उन्हें बड़ी शान्ति मिली। वे बुद्धिमान्‌ नरेश उस समय जल पीनेसे बहुत सुखी हुए

sa pītvā śītalaṃ toyaṃ pipāsārto mahīpatiḥ | nirvāṇam agamad dhīmān susukhī cābhavat tadā ||

Lomaśa sprach: Vom Durst gequält trank der König das kühle Wasser. Der weise Herrscher gelangte daraufhin zu tiefer Erleichterung und Ruhe und war in jenem Augenblick ganz und gar getröstet.
