Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the overpowering force of divine order in conflict: even when the gods strike decisively, the opposing Dānavas continue to fight with terrifying resolve. It reflects the intensity and moral gravity of war, where resistance may be fierce yet ultimately constrained by a higher cosmic balance.

A battle is underway between the gods (Tridaśas) and the Dānavas. Though the Dānavas are being struck down, they roar fearfully and wage a highly tumultuous fight for a short span (described as a muhūrta), as the narrator addresses the listener as Bhārata/Bharatanandana.
