Educational Q&A

When adharma becomes overpowering, the Supreme upholds dharma by protecting the righteous and curbing tyranny; divine power is portrayed as morally purposive rather than arbitrary.

Lomaśa reminds the listener (addressed as Puruṣottama) of an ancient deed: assuming the Narasiṁha form, the Supreme slew the powerful Daitya Hiraṇyakaśipu, invoking a well-known avatāra motif to emphasize dharma’s restoration.
