Educational Q&A

The verse frames sacred history as morally and spiritually instructive: one should listen with attention to accounts of great sages, whose immeasurable inner power (ojas) and influence (prabhāva) exemplify the fruits of tapas, restraint, and dharmic living.

Lomaśa addresses the king and introduces the next episode: he is about to narrate an extraordinary, divine account describing the greatness and remarkable power of the sage Agastya.
