विदितं ते महाराज लोकतनन्‍्त्रं नराधिप । तस्माल्लोभकृतं किंचित्‌ तव तात न विद्यते

Transliteration

viditaṃ te mahārāja lokatantraṃ narādhipa | tasmāl lobhakṛtaṃ kiñcit tava tāta na vidyate ||

Translation

Vaiśaṃpāyana sprach: „O großer König, o Herrscher der Menschen, du kennst die Ordnung, nach der die Welt regiert wird. Darum, lieber Freund, ist in dir nichts, was aus Gier geboren wäre.“
