Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Appraisal of Strength and Preference for Śama
एवमेवोपकर्तणां प्रायशो लक्षयामहे । इच्छन्ति बहुलं सन्त: प्रतिकर्तु महत् प्रियम्
evamevopakartṝṇāṃ prāyaśo lakṣayāmahe | icchanti bahulaṃ santaḥ pratikartuṃ mahat priyam ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Ebenso verhält es sich mit denen, die Hilfe leisten: Wir sehen meist, dass gute Menschen in hohem Maße danach verlangen, eine große Wohltat mit einer angemessenen Gegenleistung zu vergelten.“
