Dhṛtarāṣṭra–Duryodhana Dialogue on Peace and the Refusal of Compromise
एतद्धि कुरव: सर्वे मन्यन्ते धर्मसंहितम् । यत् त्वं प्रशान्तिं मनन््येथा: पाण्डुपुत्रमहात्मभि:,समस्त कौरव यही धर्मानुकूल समझते हैं कि तुम महात्मा पाण्डवोंके साथ (संधि करके आपसमें) शान्ति बनाये रखनेकी बात स्वीकार कर लो
etaddhi kuravaḥ sarve manyante dharmasaṃhitam | yat tvaṃ praśāntiṃ manyethāḥ pāṇḍuputra-mahātmabhiḥ ||
Dhṛtarāṣṭra sprach: „Wahrlich, alle Kurus halten dies für mit dem Dharma vereinbar: dass du den Weg des Friedens annimmst und die Eintracht durch eine Einigung mit den großherzigen Söhnen Pāṇḍus bewahrst.“
