सर्वे समधिरूढा: सम संग्रामान्न: समुद्धर । जानामि त्वां महाबाहो क्षत्रधर्मे व्यवस्थितम्‌

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

sarve samadhirūḍhāḥ sama-saṅgrāmān naḥ samuddhara |

jānāmi tvāṃ mahābāho kṣatra-dharme vyavasthitam |

Translation

Sanjaya sprach: „Wir alle sind aufgesessen und in gleichem Entschluss bereit; darum rette uns aus dieser Schlacht. Ich kenne dich, o du mit den mächtigen Armen, fest gegründet im Kriegerkodex—standhaft im Kshatriya-Dharma und fähig, die Last des Kampfes für deine Verbündeten zu tragen.“
