Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 50 — Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Appraisal of Bhīmasena (भीमसेनभयवर्णनम्)
महावेगो महोत्साहो महाबाहुर्महाबल: । मन्दानां मम पुत्राणां युद्धेनानतं करिष्यति,वह महान् वेगशाली, अत्यन्त उत्साही, विशाल-बाहु और महाबली है। वह युद्ध करके मेरे मन्दबुद्धि पुत्रोंकोी अवश्य मार डालेगा
dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca | mahāvego mahotsāho mahābāhur mahābalaḥ | mandānāṁ mama putrāṇāṁ yuddhenāntaṁ kariṣyati ||
Dhṛtarāṣṭra sprach: „Er ist von gewaltiger Schnelligkeit und unwiderstehlichem Drang—hochgemut, breitarmig und überaus stark. Wenn er in den Krieg zieht, wird er meine schwer von Begriffen Söhne gewiss ihrem Ende zuführen.“
