Nara-Nārāyaṇa Precedent and Bhīṣma’s Counsel on Kṛṣṇa–Arjuna; Karṇa’s Reply
Meritorious action (karma aligned with dharma) brings welfare and joy to the world; true greatness combines wisdom with the power to restrain and destroy forces that harm cosmic and social order.
Vaiśampāyana praises two exalted figures, describing them as one essence appearing in two forms, revered by celestial beings, and taking embodiment specifically to eliminate asuric forces that threaten the world.
