Nara-Nārāyaṇa Precedent and Bhīṣma’s Counsel on Kṛṣṇa–Arjuna; Karṇa’s Reply
ततस्तौ शक्रमब्रूतां करिष्यावो यदिच्छसि । ताभ्यां च सहित: शक्रो विजिग्ये दैत्यदानवान्,तब नर-नारायण ऋषियोंने इन्द्रसे कहा--'देवराज! तुम जो कुछ चाहते हो, वह हम करेंगे।।
tatas tau śakram abrūtāṁ kariṣyāvo yad icchasi | tābhyāṁ ca sahitaḥ śakro vijigye daityadānavān |
Da sprachen die beiden (Nara und Nārāyaṇa) zu Śakra (Indra): „Was immer du wünschest, das werden wir tun.“ Mit ihnen an seiner Seite besiegte Indra die Heerscharen der Daityas und Dānavas.
