Transliteration

hatvā tv ahaṃ dhārtarāṣṭrān sa-karṇān rājyaṃ kurūṇām avajetā samagram | yad vaḥ kārya tat kurudhvaṃ yathā-svam iṣṭān dārān ātma-bhogān bhajadhvam ||

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: „Nachdem ich die Söhne Dhṛtarāṣṭras samt Karṇa erschlagen habe, werde ich die gesamte Herrschaft der Kurus gewinnen. Darum vollendet unverzüglich, was an Pflichten euch noch verbleibt. Nach euren Mitteln genießt eure geliebten Frauen und die Freuden, nach denen euer eigener Leib verlangt.“
