उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय 33: धृतराष्ट्र-विदुर संवादः (विदुरनीतिः)
सेय॑ बुद्धि: परीता ते पुत्राणां भरतर्षभ । पाण्डवानां विरोधेन न चैनानवबुध्यसे,भरतश्रेष्ठ) आपके पुत्रोंकी वह बुद्धि पाण्डवोंके प्रति विरोधसे व्याप्त हो गयी है; आप इन्हें पहचान नहीं रहे हैं
seyam buddhiḥ parītā te putrāṇāṃ bharatarṣabha | pāṇḍavānāṃ virodhena na cainān avabudhyase ||
Vidura sprach: O Stier unter den Bhāratas, das Urteil deiner Söhne ist ganz von Feindschaft gegen die Pāṇḍavas umwölkt; darum erkennst du nicht wirklich, was aus ihnen wird. Die Mahnung ist ethisch wie politisch: Feindschaft verdirbt das Unterscheidungsvermögen, und ein Herrscher, der die Seinen nicht klar sieht, wird in adharma und Verderben geführt.
