प्रहरे क्षत्रधर्मस्य यं राम त्वं समाश्रित: । ब्राह्मण: क्षत्रियत्वं हि याति शस्त्रसमुद्यमात्‌,“राम! आपने जिस क्षत्रियधर्मका आश्रय लिया है, मैं उसीपर प्रहार करूँगा; क्योंकि ब्राह्मण हथियार उठाते ही क्षत्रियभावको प्राप्त कर लेता है

prahare kṣatradharmasya yaṃ rāma tvaṃ samāśritaḥ | brāhmaṇaḥ kṣatriyatvaṃ hi yāti śastrasamudyamāt ||

Rāma sprach: „Rama, gerade die kṣatriya-Pflicht, zu der du Zuflucht genommen hast, werde ich treffen. Denn ein Brāhmaṇa nimmt, sobald er die Waffen erhebt, wahrhaft die Haltung und den Rang eines Kṣatriya an.“
