Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
The verse underscores warrior-dharma: when conflict is inevitable, it should be faced directly at the proper place and time, with clarity of intent and without concealment—honor lies in meeting one’s opponent openly.
Rāma instructs the addressed warrior—praised both as battle-loving and ascetically powerful—to return to Kurukṣetra, declaring that he himself will come there to engage in battle, formalizing the encounter on the famed field.
