अम्बा–राम–भीष्म संवादः

को जातु परभावां हि नारीं व्यालीमिव स्थिताम्‌ | वासयेत गृहे जानन्‌ स्त्रीणां दोषो महात्यय:

ko jātu parabhāvāṁ hi nārīṁ vyālīm iva sthitām | vāsayet gṛhe jānan strīṇāṁ doṣo mahātyayaḥ ||

„Wer würde wissentlich in seinem Haus eine Frau beherbergen, deren Sinn einem anderen gilt—gefährlich wie eine Schlangin? Denn der Fehltritt der Frauen—die Bindung an einen anderen Mann—wird zur Ursache großen Unheils.“
