Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
शाल्वस्याहमिति प्राह पुरा मामेव भार्गव । मया चैवाभ्यनुज्ञाता गतेयं नगरं प्रति,'भगुनन्दन! इसने पहले मुझसे ही आकर कहा कि मैं शाल्वकी हूँ, तब मैंने इसे जानेकी आज्ञा दे दी और यह शाल्वराजके नगरको चली गयी
śālvasya aham iti prāha purā mām eva bhārgava | mayā ca eva abhyanujñātā gatā iyaṃ nagaraṃ prati ||
„Vor langer Zeit, o Bhārgava, kam sie zu mir und erklärte: ‚Ich gehöre Śālva.‘ Da gewährte ich ihr die Erlaubnis, und sie zog in die Stadt des Königs Śālva.“
