Amba approaches the Paraśurāma context; Hotravāhana’s counsel and Akṛtavraṇa’s report (अम्बोपाख्यानम्—रामदर्शनप्रसङ्गः)

ततः स राजर्षिरभूद्‌ दुः:खशोकसमन्वित: । कार्य च प्रतिपेदे तन्मनसा सुमहातपा:,तब उन महातपस्वी राजर्षिने दुख और शोकसे संतप्त हो मन-ही-मन आवश्यक कर्तव्यका निश्चय किया

tataḥ sa rājarṣir abhūd duḥkhaśokasamanvitaḥ | kāryaṃ ca pratipede tanmanasā sumahātapāḥ ||

Da wurde jener königliche Weise, von Kummer und Trauer überwältigt, und fasste in seinem Innern den notwendigen Entschluss des Dharma; der große Asket bestimmte in seinem Geist, was zu tun war.
