अम्बा-शाल्वसंवादः | Amba’s Appeal to Śālva and His Refusal

ततस्ते पृथिवीपाला: समुत्पेतुरुदायुधा: । योगो योग इति क्रुद्धा: सारथीनभ्यचोदयन्‌

tataste pṛthivīpālāḥ samutpetur udāyudhāḥ | yogo yoga iti kruddhāḥ sārathīn abhyacodayan ||

Da sprangen jene Könige, vom Zorn entflammt, mit Waffen in der Hand auf. „Anspannen! Anspannen!“, riefen sie und trieben ihre Wagenlenker an, die Streitwagen bereitzumachen—ein sichtbarer Ausbruch des Zorns, der zeigt, wie rasch königlicher Stolz in kriegerischen Entschluss umschlagen kann.
