Bhishma–Dhritarashtra Dialogue: Appraisal of Pandava Strength
एष चारिषु विक्रान्त: कर्म सत्पुरुषोचितम् | कर्ता विमर्दे सुमहत् त्वदर्थे पुरुषोत्तम:
eṣa cāriṣu vikrāntaḥ karma satpuruṣocitam | kartā vimarde sumahat tvadarthe puruṣottamaḥ | puruṣaśreṣṭhaḥ satyavān śatrūṇām upari mahān parākramaṃ darśayiṣyati ||
Bhīṣma sprach: „Dieser Mann ist tapfer in der Schlachtordnung und vollbringt Taten, die der Edlen würdig sind. Im Zusammenprall des Krieges wird er um deinetwillen große Heldentaten vollbringen, o Bester der Männer. Als Vornehmster und seinem Wort treu wird er mächtige Kraft gegen die Feinde zeigen.“
