विधिवद् व्यूह[ मेधावी युद्धाय धृतमानस:
sañjaya uvāca | vidhivad vyūhaṃ medhāvī yuddhāya dhṛtamānasaḥ | dhṛṣṭadyumno pāṇḍavānāṃ pūrvoktāḥ senā vidhivat vyūhya sarvān yuddhāya nyayojayat | tataḥ pāṇḍavavijayāya saṃnaddhāḥ samaraṅgaṇe tasthuḥ |
Sañjaya sprach: Mit fest zum Kampf entschlossenem Geist ordnete der kluge Dhṛṣṭadyumna die zuvor beschriebenen Heere der Pāṇḍavas nach der Vorschrift zur Schlachtordnung und wies jeder Abteilung ihre Aufgabe im Gefecht zu. Dann standen sie, vollständig gerüstet und auf den Sieg der Pāṇḍavas bedacht, bereit auf dem Feld der Schlacht.
