उलूकदूतवाक्यम् / Ulūka’s Message to the Pāṇḍavas
सहायो<स्मि स्थितो युद्धे यदि भीतो5सि पाण्डव । करिष्यामि रणे साहा[मसहां तव शत्रुभि:,तदनन्तर वीरोंके बीचमें बैठकर उसने कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुनसे कहा--'पाण्डुनन्दन! यदि तुम डरे हुए हो तो मैं युद्धमें तुम्हारी सहायताके लिये आ पहुँचा हूँ। मैं इस महायुद्धमें तुम्हारी वह सहायता करूँगा, जो तुम्हारे शत्रुओंके लिये असह्य हो उठेगी
vaiśampāyana uvāca | sahāyo 'smi sthito yuddhe yadi bhīto 'si pāṇḍava | kariṣyāmi raṇe sahāyām asahāṁ tava śatrubhiḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Ich stehe hier als dein Verbündeter in diesem Krieg, o Pāṇḍava. Wenn du dich fürchtest, bin ich gekommen, dich zu stützen. In der Schlacht werde ich dir eine Hilfe leisten, die deinen Feinden unerträglich sein wird.“
