अकृतेनैव कार्येण गत: पार्थानधोक्षज: । स एनान्मन्युना5<विष्टो ध्रुवं धक्ष्यत्यसंशयम्‌,“श्रीकृष्ण यहाँसे कृतकार्य होकर नहीं गये हैं। इसके लिये वे क्रोधमें भरकर पाण्डवोंको निश्चय ही युद्धके लिये उत्तेजित करेंगे, इसमें तनिक भी संशय नहीं है

akṛtenaiva kāryeṇa gataḥ pārthān adhokṣajaḥ | sa enān manyunāviṣṭo dhruvaṃ dhakṣyaty asaṃśayam ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Adhokṣaja (Kṛṣṇa) ist nicht von den Pārthas fortgegangen, nachdem sein Auftrag vollbracht war. Vom Zorn entflammt wird er sie gewiss—ohne jeden Zweifel—‘in Brand setzen’, das heißt: sie aufstacheln und entschlossen in den Krieg treiben.“
