इष्टो हि वासुदेवस्य पाण्डवैर्मम विग्रह: । भीमसेनार्जुनी चैव दाशार्हस्य मते स्थितौ,*वास्तवमें श्रीकृष्ण यही चाहते हैं कि पाण्डवोंके साथ मेरा युद्ध हो। भीमसेन और अर्जन--से दोनों भाई तो श्रीकृष्णके ही मतमें रहनेवाले हैं

iṣṭo hi vāsudevasya pāṇḍavair mama vigrahaḥ | bhīmasenārjunī caiva dāśārhasya mate sthitau ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Wahrlich, Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa) wünscht, dass ich mit den Pāṇḍavas in Streit gerate. Und Bhīmasena und Arjuna, diese beiden Brüder, stehen fest im Rat und im Willen des Dāśārha (Kṛṣṇa).“
