भीष्मस्य दुर्योधनं प्रति कुलहितोपदेशः | Bhīṣma’s Counsel to Duryodhana on Dynastic Welfare
सत्यमाह पृथा वाक््यं कर्ण मातृवच: कुरु । श्रेयस्ते स्यान्नरव्याप्र सर्वमाचरतस्तथा,(वह वाणी इस प्रकार थी--) “नरश्रेष्ठ कर्ण! कुन्ती सत्य कहती है। तुम माताकी आज्ञाका पालन करो। उसका पूर्णरूपसे पालन करनेपर तुम्हारा कल्याण होगा”
satyam āha pṛthā vākyaṃ karṇa mātṛvacaḥ kuru | śreyas te syān naravyāghra sarvam ācaratas tathā ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana sagte: „Pṛthā (Kuntī) spricht die Wahrheit, o Karṇa. Folge dem Wort deiner Mutter. O Tiger unter den Menschen: Wenn du ganz danach handelst, wird es dir zum Heil gereichen.“
