देवारण्यान्यतिक्रम्य पर्वतांश्व बहुंस्तत: । हिमवन्तमत्तिक्रम्य उत्तरं पार्श्वमागमत्
devāraṇyāny atikramya parvatāṁś ca bahūṁs tataḥ | himavantaṁ atikramya uttaraṁ pārśvam āgamat |
„Nachdem sie die göttlichen Wälder hinter sich gelassen und viele Berge überschritten hatte und den Himālaya überquert war, gelangte sie in die nördliche Gegend. Dann, am Ufer eines Ozeans angekommen, der sich über viele Yojanas erstreckte, betrat sie einen großen Kontinent, geschmückt mit vielerlei Bäumen und Ranken.“
