उपश्रुतिर्वाच उपश्रुतिरहं देवि तवान्तिकमुपागता । दर्शन चैव सम्प्राप्ता तव सत्येन भाविनि
Upaśrutir uvāca—Upaśrutir ahaṃ devi tavāntikam upāgatā | darśanaṃ caiva samprāptā tava satyena bhāmini ||
Upaśruti sprach: „O Göttin, ich bin Upaśruti und bin in deine Gegenwart gekommen. O schöne Frau, bewegt von der Macht deiner Wahrhaftigkeit, habe ich dir meine Audienz gewährt.“
शल्य उवाच
Truthfulness (satya) is presented as a potent ethical force that can draw grace and auspicious encounters; moral integrity is shown to have tangible spiritual consequences.
Upaśruti introduces herself to a woman addressed as ‘devi/bhāmini’ and explains that she has come near and granted her audience specifically because she was impressed or compelled by the woman’s truthfulness.
