तदर्थमभिनिष्क्रम्य हार्दिक्येन सहास्थित:
tadartham abhiniṣkramya hārdikyena saha āsthitaḥ |
Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Zu diesem Zweck ging er aus der Versammlung hinaus und, an der Seite Hārdikyas (Kṛtavarman) stehend, sagte er zu ihm: ‘Rüste unverzüglich deine Truppen; lege selbst den Harnisch an; und halte mit dem Heer, das in Schlachtordnung aufgestellt ist, am Tor der Versammlungshalle Wache.’“
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical tension between deliberation and coercion: when conflict escalates, leaders often shift from dialogue to militarized readiness. It implicitly warns how quickly political disputes can harden into armed standoffs, making restraint and foresight crucial.
After deciding on a countermeasure, a principal actor leaves the assembly and coordinates with Hārdikya (Kṛtavarman), instructing him to prepare the troops, put on armor, arrange the army in formation, and hold position at the assembly hall’s entrance—signaling imminent confrontation and heightened security.
