ययातिदौहित्रपुण्यसमुच्चयः | Yayāti and the Grandsons’ Consolidation of Merit
अदृश्यमानस्तान् पश्यन्नपश्यंश्न पुनः पुनः । शून्य: शून्येन मनसा प्रपतिष्यन् महीतलम्
adṛśyamānas tān paśyann apaśyaṁś ca punaḥ punaḥ | śūnyaḥ śūnyena manasā prapatiṣyan mahītalam ||
Nārada sprach: Obwohl er selbst unsichtbar war, blickte er auf jene Himmelswesen—bald sah er sie, bald sah er sie wieder nicht—immer wieder. Als er im Begriff war, zur Erde hinabzustürzen, wurde er innerlich hohl, der Geist leer und betäubt, und er begann zu grübeln: „Welchen unheilvollen, das Dharma verderbenden Gedanken habe ich in meinem Innern gehegt, dass ich von meinem Platz gestürzt wurde?“
