Departure to Behold Bhīṣma
दारुकश्नोदयामास वासुदेवस्य वाजिन: । दारुकने वसुदेवनन्दन भगवान् श्रीकृष्णके बलाहक, मेघपुष्प, शैब्य और सुग्रीव नामक घोड़ोंको हाँका
Vaiśampāyana uvāca | dārukaḥ śnodayāmāsa vāsudevasya vājinaḥ |
Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Dāruka trieb die Pferde Vāsudevas an. Dāruka lenkte die Rosse des Herrn Śrī Kṛṣṇa, des Sohnes Vasudevas, mit Namen Balāhaka, Meghapuṣpa, Śaibya und Sugrīva.“
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharma as disciplined performance of one’s role: Dāruka, as charioteer, acts promptly and responsibly in service to Vāsudeva, illustrating faithful execution of duty without hesitation.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Dāruka drives/urges forward Kṛṣṇa’s horses, indicating the chariot’s movement and the commencement or continuation of an important action sequence.
