Service to Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Allocation of State Duties
द्विजानां देवकार्येषु का्येष्वन्येषु चैव ह । धौम्यं पुरोधसां श्रेष्ठ नित्यमेव समादिशत्
Vaiśampāyana uvāca |
Dvijānāṃ devakāryeṣu kāryeṣv anyeṣu caiva ha |
Dhaumyaṃ purodhasāṃ śreṣṭhaṃ nityam eva samādiśat ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Für die Brahmanen, in Angelegenheiten der Götterdienste wie auch in anderen Pflichten, wurde Dhaumya—der Vornehmste unter den Purohitas—bestellt und fortwährend angewiesen, den Vorsitz zu führen.
