Service to Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Allocation of State Duties
मन्त्रे च निश्चये चैव षाड्गुण्यस्य च चिन्तने । विदुरं बुद्धिसम्पन्नं प्रीतिमान् स समादिशत्
mantre ca niścaye caiva ṣāḍguṇyasya ca cintane | viduraṃ buddhisampannaṃ prītimān sa samādiśat ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Mit Freude bestellte er den weisen Vidura zur Aufgabe des Rates, zur festen Entscheidung dessen, was zu tun ist, und zur Betrachtung der sechs Grundsätze der Staatskunst—damit die Politik von Einsicht und sittlicher Umsicht geleitet werde, nicht von unbedachtem Drang.
