एष मे निश्चय: साधो कृतं कारणमुनत्तमम् । आमन्त्रयामि भद्र ते कृतार्थोडस्मि भुजजड्रम,महात्मन्! यही मेरा निश्चय है। आपके द्वारा मेरा कार्य बड़े उत्तम ढंगसे सम्पन्न हो गया। भुजंगम! मैं कृतार्थ हो गया। आपका कल्याण हो। अब मैं जानेकी आज्ञा चाहता हूँ
eṣa me niścayaḥ sādho kṛtaṃ kāraṇam uttamam | āmantrayāmi bhadra te kṛtārtho ’smi bhujaṅgama mahātman ||
Der Brahmane sprach: „Dies ist mein fester Entschluss, o Guter. Der Zweck ist erfüllt — und zwar auf die beste Weise. Nun nehme ich Abschied von dir; Heil sei dir. O Schlange, großherziger, ich habe mein Ziel erreicht; ich bitte um deine Erlaubnis, fortzugehen.“
