The Brahmin’s Vow and the Nāgas’ Hospitality Appeal

Educational Q&A

Steadfast adherence to one’s prescribed discipline (svadharma) and rigorous vows (vrata) prepares the seeker for divine encounter; the Lord’s knowledge encompasses all time—past, present, and future—across the entire cosmos.

Nārada recalls that he and another companion, while observing an arduous vow, reached Śvetadvīpa and witnessed the addressed sage meeting and conversing with Śrī Hari; Nārada affirms that the Lord revealed to that sage the full scope of events in the three worlds.
