Atithi-satkāra and the Consolation of Wise Counsel (अतिथिसत्कारः प्रज्ञानवचनस्य च पराश्वासनम्)
यास्को मामृषिरव्यग्रो नैकयज्ञेषु गीतवान् | शिपिविष्ट इति हास्माद् गुह्नामधरो हाहम्,यास्कमुनिने शान्तचित्त होकर अनेक यज्ञोंमें शिपिविष्ट कहकर मेरी महिमाका गान किया है; अतः मैं इस गुह्मननामको धारण करता हूँ
yāsko mām ṛṣir avyagro naikayajñeṣu gītavān | śipiviṣṭa iti hāsmād guhyānām adharo hy aham ||
Der Weise Yāska hat mich, mit ruhigem und unzerstreutem Geist, in vielen Opfern gepriesen und meine Herrlichkeit unter dem Beinamen „Śipiviṣṭa“ besungen. Darum trage ich diesen geheimen Namen; unter den verborgenen Namen bin ich der Vornehmste.
तामिन्द्र उवाच गच्छ नहुषस्त्वया वाच्योथ<पूर्वेण मामृषियुक्तेन यानेन त्वमधिरूढ
