न धनेन न राज्येन नोग्रेण तपसा तथा । स्वभावमतिवर्तन्ते ये नियुक्ता: शरीरिण:,विधाताके द्वारा कर्मफल-भोगमें नियुक्त हुए देहधारी मनुष्य धन, राज्य तथा कठोर तपस्याके प्रभावसे प्रकृतिका उल्लंघन नहीं कर सकते

na dhanena na rājyena nogreṇa tapasā tathā | svabhāvam ativartante ye niyuktāḥ śarīriṇaḥ ||

Nārada sprach: „Die verkörperten Wesen, die vom Ordner dazu bestimmt sind, die Früchte ihrer Taten zu erfahren, können ihre eigene Natur nicht überschreiten — weder durch Reichtum noch durch Herrschaft noch selbst durch strenge Askese.“

Wealth, political power, and even intense austerity cannot cancel the ordained experience of one’s karmic results or allow a person to leap beyond their inherent nature (svabhāva). Ethical effort matters, but it operates within the moral law of karma and the limits of embodied existence.
