Impermanence, Svabhāva, and Śuka’s Resolve for Yoga

ब्रह्मादीनां खेचराणां क्षितौ च ये चाधस्तात्‌ संवसन्ते नरेन्द्र । तत्रैव तद्दर्शनं दर्शयन्‌ वै सम्यक्‌ क्षेम्यं ये पथं संश्रिता वै,राजा जनक! आकाशमें विचरनेवाले जो ब्रह्मा आदि देवता हैं, पृथ्वीपर निवास करनेवाले जो मनुष्य हैं तथा जो पृथ्वीसे नीचेके लोकोंमें रहते हैं, उनमेंसे जो लोग कल्याणमय मोक्षमार्गका आश्रय लिये हुए थे, उन सबको उन्हीं स्थानोंमें जाकर विश्वावसुने मेरे बताये हुए इस सम्यक्‌-दर्शनका उपदेश दिया था

brahmādīnāṁ khecarāṇāṁ kṣitau ca ye cādhastāt saṁvasanti narendra | tatraiva taddarśanaṁ darśayan vai samyak kṣemyaṁ ye pathaṁ saṁśritā vai, rājā janaka |

Yājñavalkya sprach: „O König, unter den im Himmel wandelnden Wesen wie Brahmā und den übrigen Göttern, unter den Menschen, die auf Erden wohnen, und unter denen, die in den Welten unter der Erde leben—wer immer Zuflucht genommen hatte zum glückverheißenden Pfad, der zur Befreiung führt—zu ihnen ging Viśvāvasu in ihre eigenen Bereiche und unterwies sie in dieser wahren Schau (rechten Erkenntnis), die ich gelehrt hatte.“
