“श्रीरामचन्द्रजी जब राज्यका शासन करते थे, उन दिनों हजार वर्षतक जीनेवाली स्त्रियाँ और सहस्रों वर्षतक जीवित रहनेवाले पुरुष थे। किसीको कोई रोग नहीं सताता था, सभीके सारे मनोरथ सिद्ध होते थे ।। नान्यो<न्येन विवादो<भूत्‌ सत्रीणामपि कुतो नृणाम्‌ । धर्मनित्या: प्रजाश्वासन्‌ रामे राज्यं प्रशासति

śrīrāmacandrajī yadā rājyasya śāsanaṃ karoti sma, tadā striyaḥ sahasra-varṣa-jīvinaḥ, puruṣāś ca sahasra-sahasra-varṣa-jīvinaḥ āsan. na kaścid rogo kaṃcid bādhate sma; sarveṣāṃ sarve manorathāḥ siddhā bhavanti sma. nānyo'nyena vivādo 'bhūt strīṇām api kuto nṛṇām. dharma-nityāḥ prajāśvāsan rāme rājyaṃ praśāsati.

Vāyu sprach: Als Śrī Rāmacandra herrschte, lebten die Frauen tausend Jahre und die Männer viele tausend. Keine Krankheit bedrängte irgendwen, und jedes Verlangen fand Erfüllung. Es gab keinen Streit untereinander—nicht einmal unter den Frauen; wie viel weniger unter den Männern. Das Volk lebte beständig in der Dharma, solange Rāma das Reich regierte.
