Haṃsa–Sādhya Saṃvāda: Satya, Dama, Kṣamā and the Discipline of Speech

स्वजने न च ते चिन्ता कर्तव्या मोक्षबुद्धिना । इमे मया विनाभूता भविष्यन्ति कथं त्विति,“यदि तुम्हारी बुद्धि मोक्षमें लगी हुई है तो तुम्हें स्‍्वजनोंके विषयमें ऐसी चिन्ता नहीं करनी चाहिये कि ये मेरे बिना कैसे रहेंगे”

svajane na ca te cintā kartavyā mokṣa-buddhinā | ime mayā vinābhūtā bhaviṣyanti kathaṃ tv iti ||

Bhīṣma sprach: Wenn dein Verstehen auf mokṣa (Befreiung) gerichtet ist, sollst du dich nicht in ängstliche Sorge um die Deinen verlieren und denken: „Wie werden sie ohne mich weiterleben?“ Solche aus Anhaftung geborene Bekümmernis ziemt dem nicht, dessen Ziel mokṣa ist.
