भवानेवंविधो<स्माकं संशयं छेत्तुमरहति । अमूढश्चिरमूढानां लोकतत्त्वमजानताम्‌,“लोक-तत्त्वके ज्ञानसे शून्य और चिरकालसे अज्ञानमें पड़े हुए हम-जैसे लोगोंके संशयका निवारण सर्वगुणसम्पन्न आप-जैसा ज्ञानी महात्मा ही कर सकता है

bhavānevamvidho 'smākaṃ saṃśayaṃ chettum arhati | amūḍhaś ciramūḍhānāṃ lokatattvam ajānatām ||

Bhīṣma sprach: „Ein Weiser wie du ist wahrhaft geeignet, unseren Zweifel zu durchschneiden. Denn lange schon waren wir verblendet und verstanden die wahren Grundsätze der Welt nicht; nur ein Unverirrter, ein Kenner wie du, kann die Ungewissheit von Menschen wie uns beseitigen.“
