सहसा घातयामास देवदेव: पिनाकधृक् । तदनन्तर सम्पूर्ण योगेश्वरोंके भी ईश्वर महातेजस्वी देवाधिदेव पिनाकधारी शिवने योगबलका आश्रय ले अपने भयानक सेवकोंद्वारा उस यज्ञको सहसा नष्ट करा दिया ॥। ३२ हे || केचिन्नादानमुज्चन्त केचिद्धासांश्व॒ चक्रिरे
kecin nādānam uñjanti kecid dhāsāṃś ca cakrire
Bhīṣma sprach: Einige erhoben laute Schreie, andere trafen hastig Vorkehrungen zur Flucht und zum Verbergen. In der plötzlichen Zerstörung des Opfers brach die Versammlung in Panik auseinander—Stimmen erhoben sich wirr durcheinander, und die Menschen handelten aus Furcht statt aus Geistesfestigkeit.
