भीष्म उवाच एवमुकत्वा तु सा देवी तदा पशुपतिं पतिम्‌ । तृष्णी भूताभवद्‌ राजन्‌ दहाुमानेन चेतसा

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca evam uktvā tu sā devī tadā paśupatiṁ patim | tṛṣṇī-bhūtābhavad rājan dahyamānena cetasā ||

Translation

Bhīṣma sprach: „O König, nachdem die Göttin (Pārvatī) so zu ihrem Herrn Paśupati gesprochen hatte, verstummte sie. Doch innerlich wurde ihr Geist von Kummer versengt.“
