Educational Q&A

Moral self-examination and purity of conduct—likened to the moon’s spotless brightness—lead to enduring benefits: good reputation and genuine happiness, both in this life and beyond.

In Shanti Parva’s instruction on dharma, Bhishma continues advising Yudhishthira on righteous living, emphasizing that a person’s inner character and its purity determine their worldly honor and posthumous welfare.
